Australian Peanut Wood.....#rs-pet562

This is a fine polished specimen of colorful petrified \"Peanut Wood\" from NSW, Australia. It\'s a Jurassic period piece, and the design was made by teredo worms, (a type of marine mollusk). The worms have eaten away the wood, leaving the unique patterns seen here. It\'s an excellent specimen that nicely shows a part of it\'s history before becoming petrified, and it measures 3 3/4 x 2 9/16 inches, & weighs 1 lb. & 2.3 oz.
